Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea.
Sunset and evening star and one clear call for me.
And may there be no moaning of the bar
when I put out to sea.
For though from out our bourne of time and place the flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
when I have crossed the bar.

Class of 1978 Who's Who
Here are a few "stand-outs" from the NHHS class of '78
David Alder went from NHHS to the California Institute of Technology and Cornell University. Our favorite techno-geek now holds 100+ patents and patent-pendings and owns ALD Instruments Corporation, specializing in semiconductor equipment and optics, including light, x-ray and electron beams. When not inventing, David enjoys bicycling for worthy causes and flying his private plane (as well as brain-storming with fellow techno-geeks like former NHHS classmate Vartan Piroumian) 1 of 5 Classmate Doug Brockmeyer was always a high achiever. He smoked Harvard and is now a respected Pediatric Neurosurgeon at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. When not saving children's lives, Doug loves to get into the backcountry and scale high peaks and icy crags with friends and family. Doc Brock even summitted Mt. Everest in 1995! 2 of 5 After attending UC Berkeley and Columbia University School of Law, the ever ambitious Kathy Kendrick became a corporate attorney, and was soon working for the moguls of Hollywood Pitures, Walt Disney Co., and Dreamworks Animation. Kathy's lucrative "dream-jobs" allowed her to make a well-planned retirement in 2010, and she hasn't slowed down since! Kathy is now a full-time philanthropist and on the governing boards of several major non-profit organizations. 3 of 5 Former classmate, flag-twirler, and NPD police officer Cynthia (Cindy Dostal) Long and her husband, Bob, are both professional ballroom dancers! They are responsible for the curriculum that is taught at every Arthur Murray Dance Studio worldwide. Cindy and Bob Long have been voted the Best Dance Teachers in America six different times. They now operate the Arthur Murray studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Arthur Marray is the largest dance studio franchise in the world, with over 240 studios in 14 different countries. As former United States and North American professional ballroom champions and World Championship adjudicators, Bob and Cindy Long are respected dancers and instructors known around the world! 4 of 5 We remember Melinda Myers' beautiful voice way back in the days of the "Twelve Tones" at Ensign Middle School. She has since sung and recorded at various venues from the Hollywood Bowl to Nashville! Melinda has even provided vocals for Miramar/Disney films.
